Dr. Madhu Nambiar was speaking at the FOMAA New York Metro region “Meet the Candidates” for FOMAA 2024 – 2026 National Executives positions.
Dr. Nambiar sang a popular Malayalam song (written by Srikumaran Thambi and sang by Late S. P. Balasubrahmanyam), “Chirikondu Pothiyum, Mouna Dukhangal, Chilarude Sampaadyam.” He said smile is the wealth of each and everyone, but we’ve lost that joy due to many challenges: diminishing trust, lack of transparency, absence of teamwork, unnecessary conflicts, and dwindling productivity. As a candidate for General Secretary, I want to express my unwavering commitment to restoring smiles and joy in FOMAA. When people smile, they’re not just expressing happiness; they radiate energy, enthusiasm, and hope.
When we greet members of FOMAA with a smile, they feel valued, heard, and supported. It creates an atmosphere of positivity, inspiration, motivation and bonding. Smiles ignite a desire to work together, collaborate on projects, and contribute profoundly to our community. Happy and smiling people encourage community service programs, initiate new projects, and also organize FOMAA’s fantastic global family conferences that bring us all together.
One of my main objectives for coming to FOMAA as a General Secretary cadidiate is to ensure that each and every one of us has a reason to smile, bond, and build lasting connections. When we create an environment with energizing smiles, our progress soars, our satisfaction amplifies, and our sense of belonging strengthens.
I am here to be the catalyst for that change in FOMAA, that can restore transparency, rebuild trust, foster teamwork, and reignite productivity. I will work tirelessly to foster a culture of teamwork, mutual respect, and cooperation where every member feels valued, empowered, and supported in their contributions to FOMAA’s mission. Every activity FOMAA does will be guided by a relentless pursuit of excellence, with the ultimate goal of making FOMAA a vibrant organization. Together, let’s embark on this journey for a brighter, happier, and flourishing FOMAA.
Dr. Nambiar further continued that, President George Bush said: “Read my lips.” But I am saying, “Read my eyes, read my heart, read my body language.” Beyond words, beyond promises, it gives the true essence of my commitment to FOMAA and community service. Everything speaks volumes about my sincerity, commitment, confidence and passion to work for FOMAA. Together, we can build a future for FOMAA with excellence, integrity, and lasting impact.
Similarly, Dr. Martin Luther King said I have a dream. Dr.Nambiar said I have a dream too. My dream is that the FOMAA community will one day smile with love and friendship, radiating energy to rise above all obstacles, embrace a future filled with possibilities, and be a beacon of trust, respect, and excellence. I envision a FOMAA that shines brightly, not just in America but across the world.
As a candidate for General Secretary, I envision a FOMAA with innovation, inclusivity, and unwavering dedication of our members to the mission. With a proven track record of leadership and a deep understanding of FOMAA’s challenges and opportunities, I am committed to fostering an environment of collaboration and progress. In the coming years, we can prioritize transparency, accountability, and effective communication to ensure FOMAA’s continued success and growth.
After the speech, Dr. Madhu Nambiar, FOMAA Capital Region RVP, recognized FOMAA Metro Region RVP Paul Jose and National Committee Member Viji Abraham with ponnadas, as a token of love, respect, and appreciation from the FOMAA community.
