KOCHI / HOUSTON / GLOBAL DESK: As the World Malayalee Council (WMC) approaches the completion of three decades of remarkable service, the organization continues to strengthen its position as one of the world’s most influential global Malayalee movements. Established on July 3, 1995, in New Jersey, USA, WMC has grown into a powerful international platform connecting Malayalees across continents through humanitarian service, cultural preservation, educational support, and community development.
With an international presence spanning the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, India, and the Far East, WMC has evolved into a global network functioning through more than 75 Provinces and 18 International Forums.
Major Humanitarian Initiative: Second Phase Nursing Scholarship Program Announced
The World Malayalee Council Global has announced the second phase of its prestigious Nursing Scholarship Program, which will be held on August 22, 2026, at the Radisson Blu Kochi.
As part of this initiative, 25 deserving nursing students from financially challenged backgrounds will receive a scholarship amount of ₹1 lakh each, making the total scholarship distribution ₹25 lakh.
The program is being implemented under the leadership and sponsorship of Dr. Babu Stephen, reflecting WMC’s continued commitment towards empowering future healthcare professionals and expanding educational opportunities for deserving students.
